Actor Morgan Freeman, 86, was forced to miss a planned press trip to the UK due to falling ill. He reportedly developed a fever and doctors suspected that he had contracted a contagious infection. As a result, he decided to stay in the US, missing out on promoting his new spy thriller, Special Ops: Lioness, alongside co-stars Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman.
Despite Morgan's absence, Zoe and Nicole attended various press appearances in London to promote the show. Morgan's representative stated that he is now fine, but his absence was necessary at the time due to his health condition. The series, inspired by a real-life CIA program, follows the story of marine Joe, played by Zoe, as she tries to balance her personal and professional life in the war on terror. Morgan portrays Edwin Mullins, the United States secretary of state. The highly anticipated show is set to be released on July 23 and has been executive produced by Zoe and Nicole.
