Liquor store clerk foiled by video after allegedly stealing winning $3M ticket
2023/06/29

Carly Nunes, a liquor store clerk in Massachusetts, allegedly stole a winning $3 million lottery ticket but was caught when officials reviewed surveillance footage. After selling the tickets to Paul Little, she claimed they belonged to him when he returned later looking for them. Nunes and her coworker Joseph Reddem then attempted to cash in the ticket but aroused suspicion when they arrived at the lottery headquarters. The ticket appeared damaged, and the two argued loudly. Officials discovered through surveillance video that the real winner was Little, not Nunes. Nunes was arrested and faces charges of larceny, false claim presentation, and witness intimidation, while Reddem was charged with attempted extortion.
