New York Mets' star player Pete Alonso returned to the field on Sunday after only a 10-day absence due to a bone bruise and sprain in his left wrist, which was initially expected to keep him out for three to four weeks. The National League's home run leader declared himself "full go" without any limitations and doctors were being cautious with the recovery timetable. Alonso went 0-for-4 in his comeback game, but he is still ahead of Jorge Soler, Matt Olson, and Kyle Schwarber for the NL lead in home runs this season. To make room for Alonso, top prospect Mark Vientos was sent back to Triple-A.
