Former child star Amanda Bynes has been placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold for the second time this year, after being detained by police over the weekend for a mental health evaluation. She had reportedly called the cops for help but was deemed a danger to herself and others. Bynes can be held for up to 72 hours by law. The actress, diagnosed with bipolar disorder and struggling with substance abuse, was released from an eight-year conservatorship in March 2022. This is the second time she has been on a psychiatric hold this year, having been found naked on the streets of LA in March.
