Anheuser-Busch has denied reports that it fired Alissa Heinerscheid, the marketing VP behind Bud Light's controversial campaign with Dylan Mulvaney. Previous reports stated that Heinerscheid and Daniel Blake, the group VP of Anheuser-Busch's mainstream portfolio, were taking a leave of absence following the campaign's failure. However, an anonymous source claimed that they are actually "gone gone" from the company, but using the term "leave of absence" to avoid potential legal issues. The source also mentioned that Heinerscheid was let go due to concerns from wholesalers. Anheuser-Busch has remained silent on the matter. Sales of Bud Light have seen steep declines since the campaign launched in April. In an effort to redeem the brand's image, Bud Light is offering a $15 rebate on purchases for the 4th of July.
