When the hit CBS serieswraps its ninth season on May 10, Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) and Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray) will start a new chapter.

After getting engaged last season, the former partners at the 12th Precinct will become life partners as they say “I do” in the presence of the New York City police commissioner, Frank Reagan () — a.k.a. Jamie’s dad — and PEOPLE has an exclusive first look at the nuptials in this week’s issue.

Jamie and Eddie have been planning their wedding throughout the season. But although Jamie’s sister Erin () suggested tying the knot at the Reagans’ family church, St. Andrews, Jamie worried about the cost.

“We could spend $100,000 on all of this, or we can get married at the courthouse,” Jamie in the Jan. 11 episode. “We can have brunch at my dad’s. With the money we save, we could buy a house.”

Though Jamie and Eddie end up doing things their own way for the big day, the whole Reagan family is in attendance, of course. Jamie’s older brother Danny () even does a reading during the service.

Earlier in season 9, viewers also saw Eddie go wedding dress shopping with Erin and Nicky (Sami Gayle), where Eddie opts for the traditional — and pricey — dress she will wear on her and Jamie’s wedding day.
