An elderly man, Michael Zaccario, 76, shot and killed his terminally ill wife, Patricia Zaccario, 73, before taking his own life in a nursing home in New Jersey. The incident took place at CareOne Wellington Facility in Hackensack. Both Michael and Patricia were residents of Wood-Ridge. According to reports, it is believed that Michael shot his wife and then turned the gun on himself. Patricia was living at the nursing home, and she was said to be terminally ill.
